Carnahan–Starling–Dieterici

This is a noncubic EOS consisting of a Carnahan–Starling repulsion and a Dieterici attraction term. At high temperatures this EOS is sometimes surprisingly good. However, it cannot generate negative pressures, and this leads to systematic aberrations or program failures at low temperatures.

The critical compression factor Zc is fixed (0.254), which means that this EOS cannot be fitted to all 3 critical data simultaneously.

adjustable parameters: 2
