Simplified perturbed hard chain
This is a simple, yet powerful noncubic EOS of the “perturbed hard chain” class. The attraction term is based on a square-well potential. The EOS has correct high-temperature limiting behaviour.
The critical compression factor of this EOS is outside the experimentally observed range.
