PCSAFT

Perturbed-hard-chain statistical-association fluid theory

This is a combination of a SAFT repulsion term for chains of hard spheres with a Chen–Kreglewski style attraction term for the square-well fluid.

adjustable parameters: 3

The critical compression factor is too high; the EOS should not be fitted to the critical volume.

Note: The parameter sets recommended by the authors (named "*;3" in the data bank) do not match the critical pressure or temperature. Usually the deviations from the experimental data are small, but for some substances the critical pressure is off by more than 10%.
